Lady Gaga tells women in music to fight for your ideas in Grammys speech
Casting a spell on the night, Lady Gaga won two Grammys on Sunday, using her acceptance speech to take a moment for women in the music industry.
Mother Monster was nominated for seven Grammys, taking home best pop vocal album for Mayhem and best dance pop recording for already-eternal banger "Abracadabra," During her acceptance speech, Gaga thanked her team, partner Michael Polansky, and producer Andrew Watt, before championing women in music.
"I just want to say for women in music that I know sometimes when you're in the studio with a bunch of guys, it can be hard. So I urge you to always listen to yourself and always fight for your ideas. Fight for your songs, fight for yourself as a producer, make sure that you are heard loudly."
