Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway bulks up on airline shares
Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway Inc. [brk.b] bought shares in major U.S. airlines and left its stakes in other companies mostly unchanged in the third quarter, according to a regulatory filing Monday. At the end of September, Berkshire owned about 21.8 million shares in American Airlines Group , 6.3 million in Delta Airlines Inc. , and 4.6 million in United Continental Holdings . There were no significant changes to Berkshire's other notable holdings including Apple Inc. and American Express Co. . Berkshire also kept its stake in Wells Fargo & Co. despite the recent scandal but liquidated its shares of Suncor Energy Inc. .
