Rockwell Collins stock up 8.8% premarket after report that China has approved United Tech takeover
Rockwell Collin Inc.'s shares surged 8.8% in premarket trade Friday, after a Reuters report that the Chinese market regulator has given conditional approval to United Technologies Corp.'s bid for the aircraft parts maker. United Technologies stock was up 1.5%. The regulator is requiring both companies to sell certain assets and has other requirements relating to the sale of aircraft components in the Chinese market, Reuters reported. United Technologies stock has fallen 1.5% in 2018, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which counts it as a member, has fallen 1.0% and the S&P 500 has fallen 0.9%.
