Paris: 50-year-old man slaughtered by a cyclist for a bicycle story
Paris: a cyclist fatally stabs a passenger in a bus
The tragedy took place on Wednesday morning in a bus 255 door Clignancourt (XVIII), north of Paris.
A passenger on a RATP bus, aged 50, from the Val-de-Marne, was fatally and "free" stabbed by a cyclist trying to get into the vehicle with his bike. The drama took place on Wednesday at 6:20 am at the stop of 255, gate of Clignancourt (XVIII), north of Paris.
The bus is waiting for its passengers, RATP machinists are nearby. When firefighters arrive, the passenger, in cardio-respiratory arrest, lies in a pool of blood. The alleged murderer has fled, the witnesses are in shock. The bike is still in the bus.
Touched carotid
The circumstances of the crime remained, this Wednesday, nebulous, but according to the first testimonies, the cyclist would have tried to travel on the bus with his bike, which is forbidden.
"A passenger is offended," says a police source. Another witness hears the attacker "ask his victim if he speaks Arabic". The latter, who does not seem to know him, enjoins him to "leave him alone". The cyclist then takes out a knife, stabs him with a carotid artery and leaves the bus. The victim tries to pursue him, but collapses soon on the road.
The criminal brigade of Paris PJ was in charge of the investigation. She has photos taken from video surveillance cameras. The body of the victim was transported to the forensic institute. The bus has been placed under seal.
Curled all morning, the sidewalk of the Avenue de la Porte de Clignancourt where the tragedy unfolded was reopened to pedestrians in the early afternoon. In front of the bus stop, sand covered a huge pool of blood.
