DAA: Man attempts to steal vehicle from parking garage, crashes inside
On Thursday, a police report was filed for a vehicle stolen from a parking garage in downtown Austin.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Thursday, a police report was filed for a vehicle stolen from a parking garage in downtown Austin.
The incident occurred near Fifth Street and Colorado at approximately 11:30 a.m., according to a release.
"The vehicle crashed inside the garage, and the thief fled the garage on foot," the Downtown Austin Alliance said.

The Downtown Austin Alliance said to call 911 if you see this suspect and reference police report number: #240670577.
People utilizing parking garages were urged to:
- Take keys/fobs with you when exiting your car. Do not leave keys/fobs inside the car.
- Always lock your car.
- Hide valuables/take anything of value with you.
- Never leave your car running unattended.
- Avoid leaving spare change in sight. Other things to hide include phone chargers, phones, earbuds and credit cards.
