A lorry driver was arrested after blowing a reading of three times the limit when he was given a drink-drive test by police.
Kent Police Specials say the were dealing with an incident on the A2 in Dartford when the HGV driver pulled up behind them to urinate on the hard shoulder.
Officers were called at 6.34pm yesterday to reports of a lorry driving erratically.
They decided to give the man a breath test – and the machine showed a figure which was three times the legal limit of 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
The driver, in his 50s, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He remains in custody while inquiries are carried out.
Police said the lorry was then recovered and the driver will appear in court.
