It was previously announced that Millie would play Kerri with Gia Coppola directing the and Ronnie Sandahl writing the script. However, earlier this year, Gia exited the film and was replaced by Cate Shortland.
According to the outlet, Perfect would have followed the Olympian, “a member of the 1996 USA women’s gymnastics team dubbed ‘the Magnificent Seven,’ who played a huge role in clinching the team gold after performing the vault on a badly injured ankle.”
The photo of Kerri landing a perfect vault and then her ankle giving out and her coach carrying her off the mat is considered famous in Olympic history.
While Millie might no longer be starring in Perfect, she does still have several projects in development with Netflix, including films Enola Holmes 3 and Just Picture It, and the television series Prism that she is starring in and executive producing.
Last month, Millie shared a new rare photo of her baby daughter!
