Gautam Gambhir ARGUED With Fourth Umpire During RCB’s Chase in IPL 2024 Match vs KKR Due to THIS Reason
It was understood that Sunil Narine had left the field after bowling his quota of overs and Rahmanullah Gurbaz had come in. This is what was being discussed.
Kolkata: After Virat Kohli argued with the on-field umpire on Sunday after he was controversially given out, Kolkata Knight Riders mentor Gautam Gambhir too had a heated discussion with the fourth umpire near the boundary ropes. Not many, including the commentators, could figure out what was it all about initially. But later on, it was understood that Sunil Narine had left the field after bowling his quota of overs and Rahmanullah Gurbaz had come in. This is what was being discussed. The umpire spotting Gurbaz on the ground asked him to leave and Narine came back on again.

“The slower balls were gripping and holding. Was happy to get the two set batters out and I think that’s what changed the game. Those two wickets from Narine were also very important and that’s what started the slide for RCB,” POTM Andre Russell hailed Narine for his two wickets in the middle phase.
Earlier on Sunday, brilliant half-centuries by Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar were not enough for Royal Challengers Bengaluru as they succumbed to an agonizing one-run defeat to Knight Riders. Jacks (55, 32b, 4×5, 5×6) and Patidar (52, 23b, 3×4, 5×6) kept RCB in hunt for but they could not chase down a daunting 223 target set by the KKR.
RCB ended up at 221 all out despite a last over blitz by Karn Sharma (20, 7b, 3×6). Andre Russell grabbed three wickets (3/25) while Sunil Narine and Harshit Rana grabbed two wickets apiece for the home side.
KKR play their next game against the Punjab Kings on April 26.
