Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers called off their Rookie of the Year bet and everyone blamed Daniel Jones
Nabers calling off the bet after one practice with Daniel Jones has fans connecting dots
Well, they call it the No Fun League for a reason.
After letting their $10,000 wager slip out in the post-draft hysteria, New York Giants wideout Malik Nabers confirmed he called off his Rookie of the Year bet with Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.
The two former LSU teammates caused quite a bit of pearl-clutching over their friendly bet, and though we don’t expect locker room wagers to stop completely, we’ll likely hear less about them in the media.
Officially, Nabers is crediting the Giants educating him on the league’s gambling policies for the reason the bet has been called off.
And, sure, there are many who believe they’re only claiming to cancel it, but football fans think they know the “real reason” Nabers wanted out: Giants quarterback Daniel Jones.
In fact, Danny Dimes somehow ended up as the obvious joke here and fans couldn’t get enough.
The NFC East rivalry stays strong.
