8 hyperbolic conclusions we can make about Caleb Williams’ NFL future based on his Twitter likes
Let's read into Caleb Williams' social media activity in the most irresponsible way.
Any time a potentially generational draft prospect like Caleb Williams rolls around, it can be challenging to see the forest for the trees. (Oh my goodness, he’s not throwing at the 2024 NFL combine? WHAT?!) It’s so easy to take any morsel of knowledge about the player and extrapolate whatever our minds want to see and hear about them.
At the peak (or start of the downturn?) of the NFL’s social media era, Williams is a poster boy of this phenomenon. People LOVE reading into literally anything he says, anything he does, anything anyone says about him, and any connections he has in any space whatsoever. It’s to the point that if it doesn’t fit a person’s priors about Williams, it’s probably not worth mentioning at all.
Confirmation bias is one heck of a drug, man.
I could be wrong, and this is admittedly my own recency bias, but I’ve never seen an NFL prospect treated with so little regard for fact and truth. I have to imagine a lot of metaphorical tin foil has been wasted when accounting for all the conspiracy theories regarding Williams. His profile and the conversation surrounding him is a uniquely absurd mix of tangible, well-thought-out analysis, speculation, word salad, and hot air.
With that in mind, I’m tapping into a familiar well about Williams. Since it’s a hobby of many NFL fans to watch Williams’ conduct with an obsessive eagle eye, I rifled through some of his recent Twitter likes from his profile (@CALEBcsw) and extrapolated some totally serious and totally valid conclusions about where his mind is based on that activity.
All of the tweets below are indeed things he has “liked” online.
