Teams honor UVA football players with touching tributes across the country
Teams across the football world honor the lives of Virginia's D'Sean Perry, Lavel Davis Jr., and Devin Chandler.
The University of Virginia’s Lavel Davis Jr., D’Sean Perry, and Devin Chandler tragically had their promising lives cut short when they were gunned down last Sunday evening upon from a class field trip.
Running back Mike Hollins and a female student — who has since been discharged from the hospital — were also injured in the event. Hollins has since had two successful surgeries and has begun walking.
Instead of suiting up for a game against Coastal Carolina today and recognizing senior players, the Virginia football team, students and the entire Charlottesville community will gather at John Paul Jones Arena for a memorial to the lives of those lost.
ESPN’s Andrea Adelson put together a beautiful tribute for College GameDay that honors the lives and legacies of Davis Jr., Perry, and Chandler.
