If you don’t already know Nyjah Huston from his prolific following on social media, the Tokyo Olympics will be a great place to get introduced. The 26-year-old skateboarder will be competing in the Olympic Games’ first skateboarding event under the Men’s Street category, with his sights set on Olympic gold.
Fresh off a second-place finish at the Street World Championships in Rome, Huston — a California native — is one of the most high-profile skaters in the sport. He qualified for the Olympics in early June as one of 12 chosen by USA Skateboarding, but was a near shoo-in based on his standing as the No. 1 ranked world tour skater.
