'Jeopardy!' contestant nearly aces an entire 'Jocks' category
Everyone missed a Bryson DeChambeau clue.
We have seen Jeopardy! contestants get completely flummoxed by sports categories.
Most recently, they missed out on a Cris Collinsworth clue. There was that Yankee Stadium category, the tough college football category from Jeopardy: Greatest of All Time, and more.
On Thursday, the penultimate Alex Trebek-hosted show, a “Jocks” category was on the board in the first round, and contestant Natalie nailed all but one of the answers to the five clues. It’s my opinion a casual sports fan would end up getting most of these, but we’ll see! Here’s a list of the clues below with their answers further down:
$200
Captain of the U.S. team in the last 2 Olympics, Aly Raisman has won 3 gold medals in this sport.
$400
Nothing fishy about Mike Trout, a standout slugger & outfielder for this California MLB team.
$600
This first woman to win an IndyCar Series race wrote a book called “Pretty Intense” (NOTE: There was a photo to accompany this clue.)
$800
This Milwaukee Bucks star was born in Greece to Nigerian parents (don’t worry, we’ll take just his first name).
$1,000
The unconventional methods of this long-hitting 2020 U.S. Open champ include using a protractor on the putting green.
