11-year-old boy killed, woman seriously injured after domestic violence incident in Lincoln Square
A 10-year-old was killed and a woman was seriously injured after an apparent domestic violence incident in Lincoln Square Wednesday morning, an alderman said. Alderman Andre Vasquez, 40th Ward, issued a public safety announcement after the incident on the 5900 block of North Ravenswood Avenue, which happened around 8 a.m. Chicago police have identified a person of interest, according to Vasquez. “Our office is in touch with the 20th District and will share updates as we receive them,” the announcement said.

Ald. Andre Vasquez, 40th, issued a public safety announcement after the incident on the 5900 block of North Ravenswood Avenue. The incident, which happened around 8 a.m., “fatally wounded” the boy and “seriously injured a woman,” the announcement said.
Chicago police have identified a person of interest, according to Vasquez. The medical examiner’s office identified the boy as Jaydone Perkins, 11.
“Our office is in touch with the 20th District and will share updates as we receive them,” Vasquez said.
Chicago police declined to comment.
