Man United working behind the scenes to sign £55m star ahead of Bayern Munich
Manchester United are reportedly working behind the scenes on a potential transfer move for Tottenham midfielder Archie Gray.

The 20-year-old has been one shining light in an otherwise hugely disappointing Spurs season, and it could now be that the club risk losing him if they get relegated.
According to Fichajes, Man Utd are preparing to pounce if that does happen, with the feeling being that an offer in the region of £55m could be enough to ‘unlock’ this deal.
Bayern Munich are also mentioned as potential suitors for Gray, who looks like he has it in him to go right to the very top in the game.
MUFC fans will be well aware that their club needs signings in midfield this summer, and Gray could be a good option for them to consider.

Gray is not one of the more experienced names out there being linked with the Red Devils at the moment, but at £55m he might also be cheaper than the likes of Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton.
There’s also a great deal of potential there for the England Under-21 international to grow into an even better player before too long.

Gray’s versatility will also surely appeal to United as he could come in and fill a variety of roles as needed.
At the same time, however, the club should perhaps focus on more of a specialist in midfield as they could find it hard finding someone to succeed the experienced Casemiro in that position.
It will also be interesting to see what Spurs decide to do, as they’ll surely prioritise selling Gray abroad, which could help Bayern.
