I brought my little sister to Las Vegas. We skipped casinos and clubs but found these 8 great ways to have fun.

We rode the High Roller, one of the tallest observation wheels in the world.

The High Roller Observation Wheel goes 550 feet above the Strip — a fact we learned during our trip to the top. Tickets start at about $23.50 for adults, and prices vary depending on time of day.

The glass bubbles on the observation wheel offer some of the best views of Las Vegas. We visited during sunset, which made the experience feel even more special.

Although it's a major tourist attraction, the 30-minute ride was easy to get tickets for, and the boarding process was smooth.

Area15 was immersive and fun.

Area15 was definitely one of our favorite spots in Vegas. It's free to enter during most daytime hours, but you do need to reserve an Entry Pass in advance to get in.

The massive space has racing simulators, art exhibits, zip lines, an arcade, restaurants, and so much more.

We spent an entire morning here and still didn't cover everything in the space.

Located inside Area15, Omega Mart was an epic experience.

Omega Mart is a massive interactive art exhibit housed inside a faux supermarket inside Area15. Tickets are about $60 a person for adults and can be booked in advance.

The immersive installation has absurd grocery-store products that are a clever play on real-life items and tons of hidden entrances leading to other parts of the exhibit.

Wink World was also a standout space in Area15.

Created by one of the founders of the Blue Man Group, Wink World has six different rooms that are all different optical illusions. Adult tickets cost $18 a pop and can be purchased in advance.

During the experience, we wore special glasses to make the artwork 3D. Every space was filled with bright colors and different moving shapes.

This exhibit and the others in Area15 were a fun way to take a break from the sweltering Vegas heat.

We enjoyed walking through "Princess Diana: A Tribute Exhibition."

Since my sister and I are both fans of Princess Diana, we made sure to stop by the exhibition in Vegas dedicated to her. Tickets to the exhibit cost about $30 a person for adults.

The exhibit had hundreds of artifacts on display and multiple rooms highlighting her life story and other important royal history.

We had an amazing time seeing Katy Perry's Vegas residency.

Always check to see which artists have residencies during your Vegas trip. We got to see Katy Perry, and her concert in Resorts World was one of the highlights of our weekend.

Tickets cost over $100 a pop and vary depending on your seats, but the price was worth it for us.

Perry performed all her biggest hits, and the sets were creative and interactive. It was one of the best concerts we've ever seen.

We wanted to see an iconic Vegas show, so we chose "O" by Cirque de Soleil.

There are tons of cool shows to see in Vegas, from musical performances to magic shows. We chose to see "O" by Cirque de Soleil because we'd heard so many rave reviews.

Tickets start at about $80 a person. We opted for a later performance and were glad we arrived early — the theater was packed.

I loved the show, which was filled with gorgeous acrobatics and fun costumes.

The indoor gardens in the Bellagio blew us away.

The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are a free attraction located on The Strip.

The exhibition has tons of different greenery and flowers on display, and is something I never thought I'd see in a hotel.

My sister and I visited at night but wished we had seen it during the day since it was so beautiful.

Of course, we took a gondola ride in the Venetian.

The Venetian hotel's interior is meant to imitate Venice — and stepping into the hotel did feel a bit like traveling to Italy.

Since a trip to Venice isn't complete without a gondola ride, we took one inside the hotel for about $40 a person. While on board, the gondolier sang to us, and we took in the hotel's interior from the water.

We loved eating at The Bedford by Martha Stewart and other great restaurants.

Vegas has a famous food scene and some of the best restaurants.

My sister and I especially loved eating at The Bedford by Martha Stewart. The restaurant is modeled after Martha's country house and features home-cooked recipes.

We also enjoyed eating at Nobu and the Bardot Brasserie.

Our trip proved to us that we don't need to gamble or party in Vegas to have a good time.

Although my sister and I were originally unsure of going on a trip to Vegas without gambling, we ended up loving the experience.

We especially enjoyed the food, performances, and many cool exhibits inside Area15.
