Kannappa trailer is finally out and fans are going gaga over the same. The film stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role along with superstars Mohanlal, Prabhas and Akshay Kumar in the main roles. Vishnu's father Mohan Babu is the producer of this much-awaited film. The pan-Indian film will hit the theatres on June 27. During the trailer launch, Mohan Babu spoke about the inspiration behind Kannappa performance at the box office and it has a Mohanlal connection.
At the event in Kochi, Mohan Babu praised the legendary Malayalam actor and said, "The humbleness, the simple man. I don't know what he is taking. But, from that day till today, the same personality he has, face no change as it is, because of his good heart and good thinking always."

He further added saying, "I wish for Kannappa to generate a minimum of one rupee more than Thudarum in Kerala. This is my aspiration."
Thudarum created history at the box office which is a Malayalam-language crime thriller film directed by Tharun Moorthy. The film starred Mohanlal and Sobhana and the movie crossed Rs 100 crore in their home state.
Talking about Kannappa, the film stars Kajal Aggarwal, Preity Mukundhan, Brahmanandam, and Sarath Kumar in interesting roles. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa is produced. Vishnu Manchu has also penned the story and screenplay for the film. The movie is inspired by the legendary tale of Kannappa, wherein a devoted follower of Lord Shiva.

Akshay and Kajal will play the divine roles of Lord Shiva and Parvathi in Kannappa, while Mohan Babu will essay the role of Mahadeva Shastri. The trailer even gives a glimpse of impactful events. Netizens seemed to not be impressed by the trailer and shared their thoughts on social media. "Visually grand, spiritually rooted Kannappa trailer hits the right divine notes!" a fan said.
