Serzh Sargsyan had a telephone conversation with Nursultan Nazarbayev
On the initiative of Kazakhstan's side the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan had today a telephone conversation with his Kazakhstan's counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev.
As the press service of the Armenian president informs, the heads of the two countries exchanged opinions related to the session of the intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union planned to be held in Yerevan on April 7.
Sargsyan presented the details of the aggression initiated by Azerbaijan on Karabakh-Azerbaijani line of contact. The sides stressed the importance of peaceful settlement of the conflict.
To note, the summit of Eurasian Economic Commission in Yerevan has been canceled by Kazakhstan's urging amid fears that holding of it will be considered as one-sided assistance to one of the sides to the Karabakh conflict during its escalation. EEC Summit was to be held on April 7-8. Meeting of EEC Prime Ministers will take place in Moscow. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will visit Yerevan on April 7 and Baku on April 8.
