Sanitek invested 26 million euros in Armenia
Sanitek Armenia, the branch of Sanitek International Group –a multinational waste management company headquartered in Lebanon, chosen by Yerevan Municipality to handle sanitary cleaning and waste recycling of the capital city of Armenia, has already invested 26 million euros in Armenia, according to Sanitek CEO Nicholas Tawil.
Speaking at a news conference today he said the outgoing year was important for the company. ‘We are improving our work on a daily basis, and this year we had a lot of changes. We have increased the amount of equipment; moreover, we carried out a personnel policy reform, - Tawil said. In his words, Sanitek Armenia has 1086 employees on its payrolls.
"Every day we serve about 1.2 million residents and guests of Yerevan in 12 administrative districts of the city. Sanitek collects 830 thousand tons of garbage and is one of the largest corporate taxpayers in Armenia.
"To date, we have installed more than 8 thousand dustbins in Yerevan, 4037 bunkers, more than 100 units of machines work every day on the streets of Yerevan and 415 out of 1086 employees of the company clean the streets of Yerevan," - said Tawil.
