Russian government to discuss customs free deliveries of natural gas, petroleum products and natural rough diamonds to Armenia
The Russian government will discuss a draft law on the ratification of the protocol amending the Armenian-Russian agreement on customs free deliveries of natural gas, petroleum products and natural rough diamonds to Armenia, the press service of the Russian Cabinet said.
According to the Eurasian Communication Center, the draft law was considered and approved on March 21 by a Russian government commission on legislative activities.
The protocol, in particular, provides for the exclusion of natural rough diamonds from the scope of regulation in connection with Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union. It also provides for the fixing of the final list of petroleum products delivered to Armenia from Russia customs free.
"The protocol is not contrary to the provisions of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union of 29 May 2014 and other international treaties of the Russian Federation", the Russian government said in a statement.
The Armenian-Russian intergovernmental agreement of December 2, 2013 provides for customs free supply of oil products, natural gas and diamonds from Russia to Armenia in the amount required for domestic consumption .-- 0--
