According to the updated data of the National Statistical Service (NSS), Armenia's economic activity in January and February of 2016 increased by 4.7% from the same period of 2015.
According to official numbers, consumer prices in the first two months of this year declined by 1.1% from the same period of 2015, and prices for industrial products decreased by 4.9%. The industrial output is said to have grown by 9.9% year-on-year to approximately 194.1 billion drams.
The agricultural output also saw a growth of 2.5% to more than 40.7 billion drams, construction sector rose by 2.1% to 20.4 billion drams, domestic trade fell by 1.8% to 264.2 billion drams and services upped by 9.8% to about 173.7 billion drams.
Armenia’s foreign trade in January-February 2016 fell by 1.7% year-on-year to approximately $ 614.2. The government projection of GDP growth for 2016 is 2.2%. ($ 1 - 486.07 drams). -0-.
