According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the discussion was attended by High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi, as well as heads of foreign ministries of all EU member countries.

Mirzoyan presented in detail the progress made in democratic reforms in Armenia, emphasizing close cooperation with the EU member states. A number of key issues of the Armenia -EU political dialog and security, including the EU civilian observation mission in Armenia were touched upon.

In the context of people-to-people contacts and bringing Armenia closer to the EU, Mirzoyan highlighted the adoption of the final decision on starting the dialogue on visa liberalization.

The Foreign Minister also touched upon the Armenia -EU cooperation in economic and other spheres.

Among other things, the potential and importance of Armenia's e accession to the Black Sea electricity cable project was emphasized.

Mirzoyan also presented the efforts of Armenia for the establishment of peace in the region, the process of normalization of relations with Azerbaijan and the main approaches of the draft peace treaty in accordance with the well-known principles.

Mirzoyan touched upon the Crossroads of Peace project developed by Armenian government and its separate components, stressing its importance not only for the South Caucasus, but also for the wider region in the context of expanding a stable network of infrastructures connecting the East with the West.
