YEREVAN, April 26. /ARKA/. Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said during a weekly briefing that Moscow continues to monitor the situation in Armenia and maintains contacts with its leadership.br

We proceed from the fact that there are the peoples of Russia and Armenia. It is for the benefit of these peoples, for their prosperity the diplomats of the two countries serve. Not the peoples should adjust themselves to diplomats, but we, the diplomats of all ranks, should serve the people of our countries,’ noted Zakharova.br
br
She also noted that the diplomats need to think about how to develop relations further, given the historically friendly ties between peoples.br
br
It depends on official Moscow that such ties are built and look to the future... We also did everything to resolve the issues of bilateral development, the regional problem (the Karabakh conflict - ed.), which, unfortunately, is a real wound for Armenia and Azerbaijan,‘ Zakharova said. According to her, Russia has always fulfilled its obligations.br
br
We will continue to proceed from all those obligations that the country has, Zakharova said. -0-br
