Hezbollah’s Nasrallah Announces Third Fuel Tanker Will Sail to Lebanon From Iran
BEIRUT (10:00 P.M.) – On Friday the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, announced that a third Iranian fuel tanker will set sail from Iran amid crippling fuel and energy shortages in Lebanon.
“We have agreed to start loading a third vessel,” Nasrallah said in a televised speech, according to Reuters. “The coming days will prove those doubtful about the shipments arriving with fuel wrong.”
He added that “our words will be clear when the first vessel reaches Lebanon.” Iran’s Tasnim news indicated on Friday that the first tanker bound for Lebanon has recently left Iranian waters and has now entered international waters.
