A Day In History: The Great Auto Race
EDIT (08/20/13) - In this episode we said the race began on July 30th of 1908. This was a mistake. We meant to say this was when the winner of the race arrived in Paris. The race actually began on February 12th of 1908. Also, the racers never drove across the Bering Straits as we originally thought. After further research, we have confirmed that the plan to cross the Bering Straits was abandoned due to melting ice and dangerous conditions. Thanks to David Appelbaum for making us aware of our mistakes.
