Hovsepyan and Mills urge for peaceful resolution of the Yerevan standoff

According to the Investigative Committee, the parties attached importance to peaceful resolution of the situation at the meeting on July 21.

Aghvan Hovsepyan highly appreciated the technical assistance that US Embassy provided to the committee in several initiatives, which took the committee’s efficiency and quality of organization procedures to a new level. In particular, all investigative departments were provided with digitalization of criminal cases and development and installment of electronic filing system in the archive, and an electronic system of preliminary investigation will be tested in the departments in future.

“Use of new possibilities of IT in investigation essentially facilitates improvement in investigation efficiency and reduction of corruption risks. We take consecutive measures to ensure access to main technical databses for investigators, which will essentially help reduce duration of preliminary investigation and establish reasonable terms,” noticed Aghvan Hovsepyan.
