Are Harry and Meghan planning to split their time between the US and the UK?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to take a break from public life to priorities spending time together with their son, baby Archie Harrison. A royal source told The Sunday Times: ‘The duke and duchess have a full schedule of engagements and commitments until mid-November, after which they will be taking some much-needed family time.’

The news came following their documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, in which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex opened up about everything from the daily pressures of life in the spotlight to Harry’s rumoured ‘feud’ with Prince William.

During one interview, Harry hinted that the pair could move to South Africa, telling Tom Bradby: ‘I don’t know where we could live in Africa at the moment. We’ve just come from Cape Town, that would be an amazing place for us to be able to base ourselves, of course it would.’

However, it has since been reported that Harry and Meghan may decide to split their time between the UK and the US.

While on their break from public life, it is believed that the Duke and Duchess will head to California – and that it could be a way to suss out whether or not they want to spend part of their year stateside going forward.

A royal source told The Sun: ‘There’s an acceptance that things haven’t worked out with the Sussexes full-time in Windsor so they could have a second base in America.’

But another source close to the couple said: ‘The Duke and Duchess will be taking some family time towards the end of the year, once their diary commitments are done.

‘We are unsure at this time but it will likely be spent between the UK and US. Any further inference on their plans is pure speculation.’

A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan did not comment.
