The Windsors are undoubtedly the most talked-about family in the world, with everything from Archie’s royal christening to the recent Buckingham Palace intruder making news.
One of the most talked-about royal family members is the Queen, from the food she banned from the royal kitchen to the ‘vulgar’ word she reportedly refuses to say.
This week however, the monarch made news as it was announced that she is hiring – something that is making a lot of us seriously consider a career move.
Yes, this is not a drill. The Queen is looking for a personal assistant for Buckingham Palace and the competition is going to be steep.
‘As a key point of contact in this smaller Household, you will work closely with all members of the team and the wider Royal Household, and will be expected to liaise regularly with external stakeholders,’ the job description reads before going on to list the responsibilities.
– Coordinating diaries, meetings and appointments
– Managing travel arrangements and correspondence.
– Helping to compile briefing materials, preparing itineraries and managing bookings
So what are the requirements? According to the advert, you will need to be ‘a good administrator with excellent written communication skills and precise attention to detail’ and be able to ‘produce work that is clear, accurate and suitable for a variety of audiences.’
You must be ‘proactive and with lots of initiative, you will be able to plan and organise a varied workload, while being flexible and open to new challenges and responsibilities’, not to mention you must be ‘confident using a range of IT packages, you will be at ease working with new systems.’
