APPEAL OF THE "NEW TAJIKISTAN" OPPOSITION COALITION TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY
The Governing Council of the Coalition of opposition forces "New Tajikistan" (KOSNT) in the present appeal formally declares that the feudal-patriarchal, family rule of Emomali Rahmon for 23 years has led to the collapse of statehood in Tajikistan, chaos, has created an environment of total threats and fear among the humble people of Tajikistan.
Ignorant and short-sighted policy of Rakhmon and his family are destroying the basic attributes of statehood in Tajikistan, integrity and unity of the people of the country. During the 23 years of Rakhmon’s irresponsible actions the Civil War began, it lasted five years officially, but actually lasted even longer. About 300 thousands of Tajiks were the victims, including prominent political and public figures, and the lights of the Tajik science. Hundreds and thousands of supporters of the Tajik opposition are in the dungeons of the current regime in Tajikistan. Hundreds of thousands of men and women out of despair became migrant workers in Russia and other countries of the region, most of them cannot visit their children and wives for years. During these years thousands of citizens of Tajikistan became the victims of neo-fascist thugs in Russia. About two million Tajik migrants annually send more than half of the state budget of Tajikistan from abroad. Over the past 23 years no jobs were created in Tajikistan, and all the key posts in the state and business structures were captured by the family of the dictator. People are actually enslaved. The Constitution of Tajikistan and laws of the country are ignored, the rights of citizens of Tajikistan are violated. Especially the rights of religious citizens are systematically violated, they are abused, most of them are thrown into prisons and bullied, they are subject to untold torture.
The Governing Council of "New Tajikistan" coalition of opposition forces in order to preserve peace and tranquility in Tajikistan in its recent statement raised the question of voluntary resignation of Emomali Rakhmon and gave him time til 30th of September, 2014. However, the Rakhmon’s government ignored the offer of "New Tajikistan" coalition.
Taking the abovementioned into consideration, the Governing Council of "New Tajikistan" opposition coalition decided starting from the 10th of October of this year to call on thousands of migrants and their supporters in Tajikistan for unlimited national rallies, demonstrations and general national disobedience in all corners of Tajikistan with demand of resignation of Tajik dictator Rakhmon and his feudal family government.
"New Tajikistan" opposition coalition announces to the international community - the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the leading countries of the world - the Russian Federation, the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, China, countries in the region - Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and other friendly countries, that it aims to restore social justice, democracy, human rights and intends to create a truly democratic government in Tajikistan on a broad social and political basis.
We officially declare to the world community that all outgoing effects of popular demonstrations and rallies are assigned to the dictatorial regime of Emomali Rakhmon.
For our part we assure the world community that the "New Tajikistan" opposition coalition and the future democratic government of Tajikistan intend to have a good and mutually beneficial relationship with all countries of the region and the world.
