With matchday six finally upon us, Standard Sport's Champions League columnist Rio Ferdinand makes five key predictions as the group stages comes to a close...
PSG v Ludogorets (Tuesday)
PSG just need to match Arsenal’s result in Basle to secure top spot in Group A and I can’t see them making any mistake at home.
Edinson Cavani is in a rich vein of form with an impressive 19 goals in as many appearances this season and Ludogorets will find it hard to keep him and his team-mates off the scoresheet.
Verdict: PSG win
Benfica v Napoli (Tuesday)
This is a huge match in Group B. The sides are level on eight points, although Napoli are first at the moment because of their 4-2 win over Benfica in September.
However, with Besiktas one point behind in third and playing bottom side Dynamo Kiev, neither team is assured of going through but Benfica are very strong at home.
Verdict: Benfica win
Bayern Munich v Atletico Madrid (Tuesday)
Both sides are already through to the last 16 but this is still an important game for Bayern coach Carlo Ancelotti, who is under pressure after disappointing domestic results.
Bayern can’t catch Atletico because they’re six points clear, however a win over a quality side like Atletico would ease some of the pressure.
Verdict: Bayern win
Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund (Wednesday)
This is one of the games of the week. Real Madrid need to beat Dortmund to win Group F so you can expect them to attack. Dortmund are full of belief after a 4-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga.
Two of Europe’s best centre-forwards, Cristiano Ronaldo and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, may play. I can’t wait.
Verdict: Real Madrid win
Lyon v Sevilla (Wednesday)
Lyon have a difficult challenge. To take second spot off Sevilla in Group H, they have to win by two goals.
I can’t see it happening because three-time Europa League winners Sevilla have so much know-how and will be determined to advance.
Verdict: Sevilla win
