Ratings: Fox’s ‘Showtime at the Apollo’ Special Finishes Last on Big 4
Supermodels in lingerie make for better TV specials than talent shows — remember that, kids.
Fox’s “Showtime at the Apollo” settled for last among the Big 4 on Monday night; CBS’ “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” topped the 10 o’clock hour.
Of course, singing competitions can do quite well on broadcast television — just ask “The Voice,” which topped 8 and 9 p.m.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.7 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 8.4 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 earned a 2.0/7 and 10 million viewers. At 10, “Timeless” received a 1.2/4 and 5.2 million viewers.
CBS was second in ratings with a 1.6/5 and in viewers with 6.4 million. “Kevin Can Wait” at 8 had a 1.5/5 and 7.2 million viewers. “Man With a Plan” at 8:30 got a 1.2/4 and 6.2 million viewers. At 9, “2 Broke Girls” put up the same rating as its lead-in, but dipped to 5.6 million viewers. Following a rerun, the Victoria’s Secret show at 10 landed a 2.1/7 and 6.6 million viewers.
ABC and Fox tied for third in ratings, both with a 1.1/4. ABC was third in total viewers with 5.4 million, Fox was fourth with 3.8 million.

For ABC, the “Great Holiday Light Fight” at 8 posted a 1.3/4 and 6.1 million viewers. “Conviction” at 10 settled for a 0.8/3 and 4 million viewers.
For Fox, the “Apollo” special was the only telecast on its schedule, accounting for its overall primetime averages.
Telemundo was fifth in ratings with a 0.8/2 and in viewers with 1.9 million.

Univision was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.8 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in viewers with 1.4 million, airing just reruns.
