'5-2 is peak Borussia Dortmund!' - Twitter reacts to historic Champions League first half vs Legia Warsaw
Who said the Champions League was all about tight tactical battles? Certainly not Borussia Dortmund.
Thomas Tuchel's Bundesliga went 1-0 down to Legia Warsaw early on at the Westfalenstadion on Tuesday night, but Aleksandar Prijovic's 10th-minute goal only seemed to make Dortmund angry.
Shinji Kagawa pulled Dortmund back level 17 minutes in, and had put the hosts ahead within a minute - and worse was to come for Polish Legia.
Nuri Sahin made it 3-1 after 20 minutes, and although Legia hit back with another Prijovic goal four minutes later, Ousmane Dembele restored BvB's two-goal advantage 29 minutes into a surreal first half.
Marco Reus then added a fifth for Dortmund to make it seven Champions League goals at the Westfalenstadion after just 32 minutes - setting a new record for the most first-half goals in one match in the competition.
Dortmund's free-scoring form understandably drew praise on Twitter - not least from BvB themselves...
