Hungarians declare for Ceferin in UEFA presidential race
August 30 – The Hungarian Football Federation (HFF) is the latest UEFA member association to declare support for Slovenian Aleksander Ceferin in the presidential elections September 9 in Athens.
Ceferin, who heads the Slovenian FA and is by far the youngest pretender to Michel Platini’s throne, now looks to have more than 22 pledges of support from among UEFA’s 55 federations. He is up against Holland’s Michael van Praag and Spain’s Angel Maria Villar.
