Iran Bans GMO Food Due To Public ‘Health Risks’

Iran has announced that it is banning the import, production and consumption of GMO food products in the country. Following in Russia’s footsteps, Abbas Papizadeh, member of Iranian Parliament Committee on Agriculture, said that GM crops posed a risk to people’s health.
