These New TV Shows Can Replace Your Canceled Favorites
Don’t despair, Nashville fans!
Every year in mid-May, the major broadcast networks decide which shows to keep, which shows to cancel, and which new ones to pick up. And every year, there are more than a few viewers who are disappointed to see their favorites go.
ABC devastated fans when they canceled Marvel's Agent Carter and the audience that stuck with Castle for eight seasons had to say their goodbyes. Fox also axed quite a few of its comedies, including The Grinder and Grandfathered. And when all was said and done, more than 40 shows bit the dust.
But not all hope is lost. The networks also announced their new series for the upcoming season.
Here are our suggestions for shows that can help fill those holes in your hearts and on your DVRs.
Sad about Nashville? Look out for Star.
If you're upset you'll no longer be able to see the country music stylings of the talented Nashville cast, tune in to Fox's musical series Star, about an up-and-coming girl group. It also features Queen Latifah and Lenny Kravitz.

If you're mourning The Grinder, consider No Tomorrow.
The Grinder got the ax from Fox, but The CW has a new comedy with a similar heightened sense of reality called No Tomorrow. Instead of delusional "I'm not a lawyer but I played one on TV" Rob Lowe, you can see Joshua Sasse (from the late Galavant) go through life thinking the end of the world is truly upon us.
No Tomorrow will premiere this fall on The CW on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. Read more about it here.
Yes, ABC canceled Marvel's Agent Carter, but you can see Hayley Atwell on the network's new show Conviction.
If you're sad you can't watch Atwell kick ass on Marvel's Agent Carter anymore — and yes, it is a loss for sure — watch her do the same, but for the D.A.'s office, on Conviction. Bonus: You'll also get to see her rock a red trench, reminiscent of Peggy Carter's signature hat.
