There was pandemonium at New sight area, Oba-Ile in Akure North local government area of Ondo state after residents discovered the lifeless bodies of a couple, Femi Oguntunwase and his wife, Modupe, Daily Post reports.
According to reports, the corpses of the couple were found in the nude in their apartment.
Femi Joseph, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) confirming the report to newsmen on Wednesday, April 20, said the cause of death had not been ascertained as at press time, however, they were believed to have died after their breakfast on Saturday as suggested by the scene where the couple’s nude bodies was found.

He said: “The body of the husband was found naked on the floor, while his wife, Modupe, who was almost naked, was in a wrapper with a bottle of palm oil found beside the couple. The bodies were found by a neighbour.
“We got the report of the incident and we are still investigating to get the cause of the death. The bodies have been deposited at the hospital for autopsy; it is after the autopsy that we will know the next step to take. No arrest has been made”.
According to Nigerian Tribune, Selewa a resident of the area, said the couple was seen in the morning of the fateful day hale and hearty.
She said: “We saw palm oil in their mouths, it may be when they were having stomach pain that they drank the palm oil. We also discovered that the death happened after their breakfast.”
