Daily Kos Radio is LIVE at 9 AM ET!
You had to figure it would happen eventually: a Republican debate that (nearly) coincided with a mass shooting event.
We’ll reset the clock once again, perhaps continue our peek at just who the Democratic superdelegates and DNC Members At Large are, and round out your regular weekend sampling of interesting party chatter. Plus, we’ll exhort you to examine our new options for supporting the show!
Listen LIVE right here at 9:00 AM ET!
Kagro in the Morning show podcasts are also available through iTunes.
NEW WAYS TO SUPPORT SERIOUSLY GOOD MEDIA!
OK, I know you’ve all been dying to know when you’d be able to support the show via PayPal, and the answer is: right now. How exciting is that? And I’m told you can even recreate the great convenience of the now-lamented Recurrency.us by setting up recurring monthly support. And for those who want a fancier option, there’s an early shell of a Patreon account, which I’m still mulling over exactly how to use. But it appears to be ready to do the important part of the job, which is to hold out a hat.
There are thousands of you downloading the podcast and listening to the show live each day. For mere pocket change per show, at about 20 new shows per month, we really could actually build a going concern here. And one day, just maybe, we can actually pay somebody to tell me my levels are too low, or to write our daily podcast summaries, or to look stuff up during the show so I’m not distracted. Or hell, even get a real studio, so it wouldn’t matter if the kids are home during a snowstorm and eating breakfast in the background!
Give it some thought, won’t you? Thanks!

It is an all David Waldman KITM today as weather knocks Greg Dworkin off the internet. Greg got an Abbreviated Pundit Round-up posted in time, though, so you can go there for your data and info fix of the morning. David addresses the mysterious goings on concerning Antonin Scalia’s death among high-ranking members of an exclusive fraternity described as a knightly order that would meet in traditional shooting attire for bird shoots, or attend masked balls. Guests included big GOP donors “Happy” Rogers III & A.J. Lewis III. What dimension of Chess is Mitch McConnell playing against Barack Obama’s SCOTUS nomination? New gun laws bring up new gun law concerns, as Maine lawmakers decide whether landlords taking subsidies can ban guns, and new campus gun laws have Texas professors rethinking their curriculum. David gets back into the nitty-gritty of the superdelegate situation. How does one get to be a party elite who has an outsize impact on who is nominated for president? Who are the people that can call themselves superdelegates, and what benefits come to people that put so much time and effort into public-service?
