The Lagos state government has begun construction of a pedestrian bridge at Berger bus stop along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The bridge is in response to yearnings from residents to enable pedestrians navigate both sides of the ever busy bus-stop where some people have lost their lives in the past in an attempt to cross the road.
The state governor Akinwunmi Ambode graciously approved the immediate construction of the bridge with the contractor, China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) moving to site.
The work has commenced in earnest and is expected to be completed before the end of the year.
