Nigerians react to Ifeanyi Ubah’s claim to crash the Dollar
– Mr Ifeanyi Ubah says he can crash the Dollar
– Mr Ifeanyi Ubah alleges that the fall in Naira id being manipulated by some powerful people
Mr Ifeanyi Ubah, chief executive officer of Capital Oil and Gas, and a former Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Anambra state gubernatorial election in 2014, on February 24 claimed that he can crash the Dollar to the barest minimum.
Mr Ifeanyi Ubah says he can crash the Dollar
Ubah made this known during an interview on “Global Economy” a programme on Africa Independent Television (AIT) this afternoon. The business mogul had earlier hinted that powerful people were manipulating the Naira fall against the US Dollar for personal gains.
He expressed optimism that Nigeria will recover from the current economic woe, adding that the local currency might even fall further to N200.
Nigerians who are skeptical about his assertion took to a micro-blogging site (Twitter) to freely express their opinion on what they actually make out of Ubah’s claims. Some are of the view that the oil magnet is looking for relevance and political recognition in the present administration.
