Zakharova announces  meeting between Armenian Parliament Speaker  and   Russian Foreign Minister

ArmInfo. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has announced a meeting between the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, and the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov, on the margins of his official visit to Moscow.

"As part of his official visit to Moscow, the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. During the talks, bilateral cooperation as well as the current regional agenda are planned to be discussed. The parties intend to pay special attention to cooperation between Moscow and Yerevan within the framework of common Eurasian integration organizations and the development of dialogue in this regard," Zakharova said during a weekly briefing on February 4. 

Earlier, the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament had signed a decree authorizing an Armenian parliamentary delegation to Russia from February 4 to 7. The delegation, led by Simonyan, will visit at the invitation of Valentina Matviyenko, Chairperson of the Russian Federation Council.
