Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband, industrialist Sunjay Kapur dies at 53: THIS actor confirmed the news of his demise

Sunjay Kapur, chairman of auto components major Sona Comstar and a popular name in India's automotive sector, passed away at the age of 53. According to reports, he had suffered a heart attack during a polo match in England.

Actor and author Suhel Seth confirmed the news of demise and expressed his grief in a post on X. He wrote, "Deeply saddened at the passing of @sunjaykapur : he passed away earlier today in England: a terrible loss and deepest condolences to his family and to his colleagues @sonacomstar Om Shanti SUHEL SETH (@Suhelseth) June 12, 2025".

Suhal is an Indian entrepreneur, businessman and columnist who is the founder and managing partner of consultancy firm Counseling India. He also served as the Chairman of, the Marketing Committees of the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry and is the Experts Committee of the Indian Railway Board. In 1996, Seth and his brother founded the advertising agency Equus. Seth acted in several; English plays as Bollywood films.

He made his debut with Rog and was later seen in Ek Din Achanak in 1989. He was then seen in Hrithik Roshan and Farhan Akhtar's film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Seth played the role of the father of one of the female leads. He was seen in Aishwarya Rai starer Guzaarish. He was last seen in Calendar Girls and played the role of a character based on liquor baron Vijay Mallya.

Karisma's ex-husband Sunjay Kapur was a businessman and married to Priya Sachdev. He had two kids with Karisma and another with Priya. Kapur's last social media post was just hours ago when he expressed grief at the death of Air India passengers who died in the crash on Thursday afternoon. "Our strategic roadmap focuses on six key priority areas to drive industrial growth and policy reforms policy advocacy, growth and inclusiveness, strengthening MSMEs, membership engagement, skill development, and innovation and sustainability.
