This is dishonor to all of us - archbishop about his compatriots held in Azerbaijan
ArmInfo. On May 15, the leader of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, Archbishop Bagrat
Galstanyan, in a conversation with journalists, touched upon the illegal detention of the military-political leadership of Artsakh in a Baku prison.
"This is a dishonor to all of us. What does it mean that Armenians
are in Baku prisons today? We're all there. Those who are there are
all of us, this is our collective presence in the Baku prison, this
is dishonor, this is a shame on all of us," Srbazan emphasized. He
assessed the inaction of the authorities of the Republic of Armenia
as the behavior of Judas: nothing is being done to free our
compatriots from the Baku prison. "This is the story of Judas. They
sat with these people at the same table, shared bread and salt, who
knows, maybe even drank liters of vodka, Artsakh mulberry vodka,"
recalled Bagrat Galstanyan.
Earlier today, Azerbaijani media reported on the extension of the
period of detention of the military-political leadership of Artsakh,
captured and illegally held in a Baku prison. As part of the criminal
case fabricated against them, the Baku court extended the period of
illegal detention of Bako Sahakyan, Arayik Harutyunyan, David
Babayan, David Ishkhanyan, Levon Mnatsakanyan and David Manukyan for
another 5 months. Earlier, the Azerbaijani side announced the
extension of the detention period of Arkady Ghukasyan.
