"When the government does not consider the position of the parties and non-governmental organizations , a boycott is justified," - Nino Lomjaria
Non-governmental organizations welcome the boycott of the by-elections by political parties.
According to them, the politicians are to use all legitimate ways to activate the issue. However, they claim that participation in the election of only one political party will not be positevely assessed by the international community.
"Boycott will have negative impact on competitive, free and fair environment. However, when the government does not consider the position of non-governmental organizations and political parties, a boycott can be justified because it is aimed at creating competitive fair electoral environment, "- said the executive director of the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy Nino Lomjaria.
Whether the National Movement joins the boycott of the by-elections, will be known today.
Free Democrats have already expressed their support for the decision of non-parliamentary opposition.
