Thierry Henry on Arsenal target Kylian Mbappe: 'Oh la la! He is a good player'
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has lavished praise on Monaco's young star forward Kylian Mbappe, revealing just how much he enjoys watching the Gunners transfer target play.
Mbappe - still only 18 - has enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season with the Ligue 1 leaders, scoring 12 goals in the French top-flight and also netting in Monaco's win over Manchester City recently, which knocked Pep Guardiola's side out of the Champions League round of 16.
His performances this term led to Les Bleus coach Didier Deschamps handing Mbappe his first senior call-up to the France national team and giving him his debut in the 3-1 win away to Luxembourg on Saturday.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted he has been tracking Mbappe's progress since last summer, and admitted the youngster has similar qualities to that of Gunners legend Henry - who also started his career at Monaco.

And Henry has now spoken of the comparisons, saying that while he doesn't want to compare Mbappe to himself the Monaco starlet is certainly a promising talent in his eyes.
"I don't like comparing players - Mbappe has to become Mbappe and that is all," Henry told Canal Plus.
"But my word, he is good. Oh la la. l really like watching him play."
Henry currently splits his time working as a pundit on Sky Sports with being Roberto Martinez's assistant in the Belgium national team set-up.
When asked what he would teach Mbappe as a coach, Henry said: "When you have kid with that much talent, what are you going to teach him apart from a few tactical things?
"So it is more [about saying] develop your brain and become a killer. Develop your brain, your intelligence and your movement. What can you see? When you watch a match, don't just watch the ball, watch the movement off the ball.
"Understand quickly who is weak in the match, who you should attack and who you shouldn't attack, how to attack this player and understand all of that."
He added: "I met him and he gave me the impression that he has a good head on his shoulders.
"Yes, he is quick, but he is thinking and that is the sign of a kid who can go a long way in the game."
