Pep Guardiola’s evolution has started at Manchester City and it will only intensify with the expected exit of some top Citizen’s players.

The Spaniard has already left the likes of Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri, Wilfried Bony, Eliaquim Mangala, Jason Denayer out of his three competitive match day squads while Joe Hart has been left on the bench for two.

Based on what we have seen so far from Pep Guardiola, NaiJ.com compiles a list of those the coach is looking to sell;

1. Yaya Toure: Based on what we have seen so far, Toure is close to leaving City for any club that can pay his enormous £220,000-per-week deal. According to Goal.com, The Ivorian is happy to stay at the Etihad, but would leave if City pay up the remaining year of his contract or a new club can match his wages.

However Guardiola has said of his decision to constantly ditch Toure: “I know Yaya from Barcelona, how he loves to play football, I know perfectly his quality, he knows the reason why today he was not in the list, because I talk sometimes with the players to explain the reasons why.”

2. Samir Nasri: The Frenchman has been branded overweight by Guardiola and asked to train alone to regain his fitness. His schooling at Arsenal was expected to help him thrive but it seems Nasri will finally leave the club after his career stalled.

3. Wilfried Bony: The Ivorian has always looked a misfit for City’s system and it safe to conclude that he has been a flop.

The club valued Bony at £13m when offering him to Everton as part of the Stones deal but he has so far failed to move.

4. Eliaquim Mangala: Another who has been a misfit at City. He is prone to regular mistakes and it seems he does not even know the simple art of tackle and making interceptions at defending.

It seems the £45 he was signed for is too excessive. Guardiola is looking to loan the player with AC Milan and Valencia said to be interested.

5. Jason Denayer: The youngster has failed to progress and the presence of Otamendi, Kompany and Stones will force the player out of the club.

Swansea City are reportedly interested following the sale of Ashley Williams to Everton.

6. Joe Hart: The most surprising player being forced out of the club. The Englishman failed to start the Premier League opener against Sunderland with Willy Cabalerro preferred in his place.

Guardiola explained: “Maybe the next game it changes, maybe not. I needed the build-up and to use the goalkeeper to play quicker to arrive the balls behind the line. Willy had this quality first of all, he trained more times. He arrived on the first day.

“That doesn’t mean Joe can’t do that. I know the quality of Joe, he is an amazing goalkeeper. He plays for the national team and he was so important for the two Premier League (title) wins. The personality, the character, I know about.”
