Ankara fabrics have been huge in Nigeria for a long while, with fashion designers incorporating them in ready-to-wear clothes, dinner wear, bags, even shoes. Now nail technicians are taking a cue from them and producing ankara inspired nail-art.
The creative designs below are art pieces in themselves, although most are not painted on like real art work. This special nail art requires the techician to cut a piece of fabric, affix on a fals nail and then paint it on with clear polish. Sometimes, the process is more intricate than deescribed. Still, the results are often a delight.
