Marion mother sues, claims special ed student locked in room
(AP) — The mother of a southern Illinois special education student has filed a federal lawsuit claiming her child was inappropriately locked in a small room at school.
The (Carbondale) Southern Illinoisan reports (http://bit.ly/2be1x30 ) that Marionna Felts-Ping filed the lawsuit as a co-defendant with her son, identified in the lawsuit as J.P. Felts-Ping's lawsuit claims a teacher and teacher's aide unnecessarily confined her son in a small room for extended periods.
