49ers’ Smith discusses Kaepernick not seeing him in St. Louis
In the first quarter on Sunday, with the 49ers facing first down at their own 3-yard line in a 27-6 loss at St. Louis, Kaepernick didn’t notice wide receivers Torrey Smith and Jerome Simpson had inexplicably been left uncovered by the Rams.
Kaepernick gave the ball to running back Mike Davis, while Simpson and Smith waved their hands in a futile attempt to get their quarterback’s attention.
