Subsidizing children’s airfare in Kazakhstan: Tokayev signs law
Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a decree supporting the tourism industry.
The Head of State signed the law "On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of Kazakhstan on issues of supporting the tourism industry and children's sports".
Details of the law
In particular, the document provides subsidizing the cost of airline tickets for children on domestic flights when purchasing tours within Kazakhstan.
Earlier, deputy Nikita Shatalov noted that the bill grants the authorized body the right to establish additional support measures. In particular, this concerns tourist packages in which the state will subsidize the cost of airfare for minor passengers on flights within the country.
The law also provides subsidizing the expenses of tour operators engaged in inbound tourism — for each foreign tourist who arrives in Kazakhstan. According to the deputy, such support will be oriented toward concrete results and economic effect.
In addition, the law establishes the status of children’s and youth sports schools as organizations of additional education. A state order, per capita financing, and unified rules for its distribution will be introduced for them. It is also planned to create a digital platform for physical culture and sports to account for and monitor data.
