American man searches for his parents in Karaganda
Tengrinews.kz — A social media post has appeared seeking the biological parents of a Kazakhstan-born man who was adopted in childhood by a family from the United States. The message was published by his wife in the Kazakh American Association community on Facebook.
What is known about the man
According to the author of the post, her husband’s name is Nicholas Piccolo. He was born in Karaganda on November 26, 1998. At birth, he was given the name Ruslan Umurzakov.
As Nicholas’s wife, Chanel Piccolo, explained, he spent his early childhood in the "Malutka" children’s home in Karaganda. According to her, the institution may also have been called "Shapagat", although the family does not have exact information.
“Hello I am writing this post because my husband Nicholas Piccolo is looking for his birth parents he was born in Karaganda Kazakhstan November 26 1998, his birth name was Ruslan Umurzakov,” the post says.
The family says very little information about his past has been preserved. It is only known that the adoption took place on January 19, 2003.
“We don’t have much information at all honestly but he would like to find his birth parents. This is the only information that we have,” Chanel Piccolo wrote.
She also added that she would be grateful for any help and asked anyone with information to contact them.

The man’s wife hopes that spreading the information on social media will help find people who may know something about his biological family.
